Faculty grant requests must be processed through the dean's office of the respective University school and the University Office of Foundation, Corporate & Government Relations (FCGR). Information and assistance on grants can be obtained through the University of Richmond Office of Foundation, Corporate, and Government Relations in Maryland Hall. The University subscribes to two grants services through the FCGR:
The Grants Advisor Plus and the Sponsored Programs Information Service (SPIN). The Richmond Research Institute will assist faculty members in setting up an individual profile on the Grants Advisor Plus SMARTS system. Contact Kirk Jonas at rjonas@richmond.edu for assistance.
Arts and Sciences Grant and Scholarship Information The School of Arts and Sciences provides information on scholarship and research support for faculty and staff. Policies, forms, and resources are listed at its web site.
Highlighted granting agency of the month January 2008: The Southern Growth Policy Board (SGPB), through its Southern Research Fellows Program, has been supporting research in the area of economic development since the 1970s. This year, the SGPB will be giving scholarships to undergraduate students from 13 Southern states, and a chance to publish their findings in the 2008 Report on the Future of the South.
